Why do baby tiger oscars hide in a corner on the bottom while one is swimming around?
Jo-Ann H asked:
We had 4 baby Tiger Oscars. One has died. His eyes clouded over before he died. One is swimming and eating. Two others are hiding on the bottom and are not eating. What is wrong?

It could be a case of hexamita, a very common internal parasite involing oscars, discus and etc.. Not eating, keeping itself in a corner, or hiding are the earliest signs of it.
They best thing to do is to treat them with a drug called Metronidazole, it effective when mixed in the food, or you could add it to the water, for more instruction check this sites
the best place to get is either amazon or kensfish
There are a fish that like to show off their dominance and the one hiding could be the looser of the dominance thing. Make sure that you have a large enough tank with plenty of hiding places.
Oscars need a large tank. As in, 55 gallons for one or two fish. How long was the tank set up for, did you cycle it, what are the other tankmates, and did you treat for disease? The cloudy eye sounds like a bacterial infection. What are you feeding them?
